We are pleased to announce the release of Elecard CodecWorks version 4.10, which brings a series of new features and improvements to our popular video transcoding software.
Here are some highlights:
We have added support for the latest version of Ubuntu (22.04) to ensure compatibility with the most popular distributions.
In addition, support for broadcast streams on the ST 2110 protocol has been added, expanding the options for streaming content.
We have updated and cleaned up web-based documents, which are now available online for easier access and navigation.
Added a new automatic recording function: If there is a problem with the source stream, CodecWorks will automatically record the input for later review. This feature is enabled on the "Thresholds" tab.
We have also expanded our system metrics! Now you can track the graphical core load, network interface load, and CPU core load through the web interface. In addition, a page was created to view system metrics for all servers in the network.
CodecWorks can now switch between primary and backup sources using the SMPTE 2022-7 standard.
We have also updated the interfaces for service table generation and CAS encryption.
As expected, stability has been strengthened by integrating several new mechanisms.
The mechanism for rebuilding the plan has been improved. Now, when the flow composition changes, the reconstruction plan will be implemented. However, when the original stream is restored, it can return to its original form.
Some sad news:
We have stopped the development of the DirectShow component. CodecWorks for Windows and Ubuntu now have a unified Gstreamer component library. The development of the CentOS version has also been stopped.
