Improve the security and availability of developers

We are pleased to announce the release of Axivision 7.9. It introduces new security focused and user-friendly features to improve the efficiency and quality of embedded software development. The important supplements to our architecture validation and static code analysis tools include extended CWE and CERT rules, as well as new plugins for Qt Creator users.

Meet the highest safety standards

Continuous code analysis follows strict industry standards, laying the foundation for further security qualification and certification of software. Especially software used in safety critical environments such as automotive, medical, or industrial applications needs to meet strict safety requirements. To assist developers in identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities, Axivision Suite 7.9 introduces additional CWE and CERT rules, adding rules that are already widely available in the coding guidelines checker.

Seamless integration with Qt Creator

The new version continues to seamlessly integrate Axivision Suite into the Qt technology ecosystem. Developers using Qt Creator as a cross platform software development tool will benefit from dedicated plugins. It will allow easy access to the results of code analysis for reviewing and tracking issues without the need to switch tools. This plugin will be available in the next Qt Creator version.

Enhanced QML support

The latest version has extended support for QML (Qt Modeling Language). Clone detection can now also be used for QML projects. This enables developers to identify duplicate code in the early stages, prevent technical debt, and improve long-term code quality. We have planned to further enhance QML support in the upcoming version.

More highlights of Axivision 7.9 version

Other notable highlights of version 7.9 include:

Improved single sign on support

Axivision Suite already supports SSO for MS Entra. The new version not only improves support for MS Entra, but now also includes SSO support for IDE plugins, allowing the use of these plugins without the need for re registration.

Optimized architecture validation workflow

The setting and editing of architecture validation, as well as the evaluation of architecture changes, have been further optimized. Axiovision's built-in modeling tool Gravis has improved multi edge display (edge binding), and the architecture pipeline is now directly included in Gravis.

Support Arm macOS on Apple processors

To meet the growing demand, Axivision Suite now also supports Arm macOS on Apple processors.

Support C # 12

As for the improvements in the compiler, Axiotion now allows developers using C # 12 to fully utilize the latest version's code analysis capabilities.
